Pages-per-day
calculator
A little reading, each day.
How many pages would you like to finish, and by when? Make a simple plan without an account or email address.
Whole pages, from 0 to 1,000,000. Enter the pages left, not the book’s total.
Your device timezone is selected first. Changing it may change which date is “today”.
Exactly what counts as a day?
- The target date is always included. Choose Today to count both today and the target date; choose Tomorrow to leave today out.
- A target of today gives one day if Today is selected. Tomorrow with a target of today has no reading days and returns an error. Past targets are rejected.
- Dates are calendar days in the selected timezone, not blocks of 24 hours. Leap days count; daylight-saving clock changes do not add or remove a reading day.
- We divide pages remaining by available days and round up to a whole page. For example, 100 pages over 3 days gives 34 pages per day; the last day can be shorter.
- Zero pages returns a finished plan, not a negative or impossible pace. Fractions, negative values, blank values and invalid dates need correcting.
- Your inputs stay in this browser. No form submission, analytics event, email gate, storage or server calculation is used. The date is checked again whenever you calculate.
From a page count to a reading moment
Choose a small time in your day to sit with your book. If the pace feels too high, move the target rather than treating the number as a test. This calculator is free to use; Burrow is a separate paid reading app.
In Burrow, keep track of pages or minutes and set a reading intention beside your books. For practical planning without a deadline, read how many pages to read a day.
